Rope Rescue I + Core Rescue Pre-Requisits

This is a course that begins with Introduction to Technical Rescue and goes into rope rescue techniques which will include a classroom review of equipment, knots, and rope safety. Instruction events include: establishing need for rope rescue; uses and limitations of equipment; knots; safety aspects; anchoring systems; rescue rappelling; lowering systems and other aspects of rope rescue. Confined Space Rescue I and II

Designed for both fire department personnel and private industry, this course provides responders with a comprehensive understanding of accidents involving a confined space. This course teaches the responder how to recognize the hazard, access the victim, stabilize the victim and the proper procedures for retrieval. Practical and classroom sessions focus on the three primary hazards associated with confined space rescue: physical, atmospheric, and physiological. Realistic training evolutions using the latest in equipment and techniques ensure student retention of this material. All students will be eligible for Pro Board certifications upon successful completion and proper prerequisite certification. Hazardous Materials Awareness / Operations

This course is designed for firefighters who may respond to incidents involving aircraft. The course will discuss various topics related to fire ground operation of aviation incidents including case studies, tactics, initial command decisions and live fire training experience. Live Fire will include interior cabin, wheel, engine, and fuel spill simulations. This course is a mix of lecture and hands on course and is very physically demanding which requires students to be in good physical condition.

Technical Rescue Challenge

This intensive course is designed to test the Technical Rescue Skills of First Responders. Students will work in teams on realistic technical rescue scenarios that involve multiple 1670 skill sets and include the application of NIMS ICS principles and practices. Students will need to be trained to at least the Operations Level in one or more of the following: Vehicle Machinery, Wilderness, Rope, Swift Water, Confined Space, and/or Trench rescue. The course will include at least 1 night scenario and students should be prepared to operate in inclement weather - Class will go rain or shine.
